Emmy Fairfax is the main character of Human Resources. She is a lovebug who has been assigned to work with new mother, Becca Lee in Season 1 and Sarah in Season 2. She is voiced by Aidy Bryant.
Biography[]
Big Mouth[]
Emmy made her first appearance in the Big Mouth episode, "Lovebugs", where she was working her job at Human Resources and collected some assignments from the tubes and gave them to her fellow lovebug friends, Walter and Sonya She was in a delightfully chipper mood, which was contagious to Walter. Sonya, on the other hand, was just agitated with how Emmy was late for work that day.

In "Birth", Emmy was tasked with being the lovebug to her first ever client, Becca Lee, in the absence of her recently fired lovebug, Sonya. Not knowing what to do, Emmy went down to The Mistake Factory to get wasted and drink her sorrows away. There, she was met with Sonya, who gave her a talking to and told her to get her ass down and meet Becca, who was pregnant and about to have a baby. When Emmy introduces herself to her new client, Becca was not happy to see her at all and Tito and her anxiety mosquitoes cause Becca to break her water and go into labor. The nervous Emmy went into the hospital with Becca and all of the other monsters and she gave Becca a pep talk to help get give birth to her baby. Emmy was brutally honest about the baby, saying that it looked like somebody put Mr. Potato Head parts on a real potato, much to everyone else’s dismay.
Appearance[]
Emmy Fairfax is a yellow female lovebug with a brunette, stripy, butch-cut hairdo and olive green eyes (which were later turquoise in "Human Resources"). She has big and beautiful butterfly wings, rimmed with dark indigo and filled with a pattern of some very vibrant orange, hot pink, and phlox. She wears an indigo dress, a dim pink scarf, dark magenta pants, and dark indigo shoes.
Personality[]
Emmy Fairfax is a very cheery and fun-loving lovebug, who rarely worries or frets about things too much and tries to liven things up around the workplace by making friends with her co-workers by doing things like asking them would you rather questions and she easily gets along with almost everyone. She is a relatively naive lovebug, who was kind of thrown into her first job without any preparation, which made her very nervous and worried about her job. She also feels kind of self-conscious about her own butt and her failure to make it glow, which gives her the impression that she isn't loving enough to be a lovebug. Overtime, she discovers that love isn't as simple and idyllic as she once perceived it to be and once she figures that out, she finally makes her butt light up. In her spare time, Emmy likes to drink alcohol, and meet guys at one point often hooking up with Dante.
In Season Two, Emmy develops a more mature and responsible attitude as she works with Sarah.

- Sonya Poinsettia - Emmy has a good relationship with her former boss Sonya and after the latter got fired, Emmy takes Sonya's advice seriously whenever she has a problem.
- Walter Las Palmas - Walter is a good mentor to Emmy after Sonya lost her job, he decided to help Emmy get better with her job. He also enjoys Emmy’s wacky "would you rather" and if you’re something/If you have something/If you could be someone else questions?
