The D.N.Ape represents the genes of the human. He appears in Season 2, Episode 10 “The Department of Puberty[1]”.
Reminder: Humans are classified as animals, belonging to the kingdom Animalia, and are further categorized as mammals. Within the primate order, humans are classified within the family Hominidae, and the genus Homo, with our species name Homo sapiens. Besides Homo sapiens, other species within the genus Homo existed before us and together with us; Homo neanderthalensis (Neanderthals), Homo erectus, Homo habilis, Homo floresiensis, and Homo naledi, all long gone.
