Cat Stevens is a character introduced in Human Resources. He represents depressions and is involved with clients feeling sad.

Biography[]

In his first appearance, he is send as Barry's Depression Kitty. When Barry's wife, suffering from postpartum depression, states she might not love him anymore, all of Barry's monsters, except Stevens, panic. Stevens passively assures the others Becca still loves Barry, but in a panic, the others encourage Barry to encourage Becca, further worsening their relationship. At the meeting between Becca and Barry's monsters, Stevens still insists Becca loves Barry, while Kitty Dukakis denies this, leading the two cats to hiss at each other. After the meeting, Stevens talkes to Becca's Lovebug, Emmy Fairfax, who, at that point, believed Becca couldn't love Barry. Stevens takes Emmy to the Memory Vault, and showed her the history of the couple, leading her to realize the love they share, and encourages Becca to open herself up to Barry and his love and support. After the issue was resolved, Emmy and Stevens have drinks at the bar, where they have an almost-kiss, but Emmy stops it as she was involved with Dante at the time.

Appearance[]

Stevens takes the form of a human size cat with purple fur. He has yellow eyes.

Personality[]

He is usually very calm and cool in the face of panic. The only time he seemed to lose his temper was when Kitty Dukais blantently disagreed with him, that Becca no longer loved Barry, leading the two cats into a hissing match. He usually draws in coloring books as a way to help him think. Unlike fellow Depression Kitty, Kitty Dukakis, he doesn't seem to make the effort to ensure his clients remain in a depressed state. He may encourage depressive behavior, as his job implies, but he shows to genuinely care for his client's well-being.
